This conference is part of the "Maths, bio and health" thematic semester organized by the Henri Lebesgue Center in 2026. It will be held in Rennes from June 23 to 26, 2026, at the Institut des Sciences Humaines et Sociales (Human Sciences Institute of Brittany).
The primary objective of the event is to foster interdisciplinary collaboration between the fields of statistics and public health, providing a forum for scientific exchange that strengthens a community of researchers addressing methodological challenges in health data.
The conference will bring together Master and PhD students, postdoctoral researchers, academics, and professionals working in statistics, epidemiology, and bioinformatics.
A particular emphasis will be placed on the exposome and environmental health, with key thematic areas including multi-omics data analysis and integration, causal inference, and critical reflections on ethical considerations and scientific reproducibility.
The afternoon of Tuesday, June 23, and the morning of Wednesday, June 24, will be dedicated to mini-courses on causality and on omics data analysis. These sessions are designed to prepare participants for the subsequent scientific sessions. The main conference will take place from Wednesday afternoon to Friday midday. The Friday morning session will focus on presentations addressing ethical issues and reproducibility in science, followed by a roundtable discussion.
